This silicone coated flexible stranded wire is the best. The combination of silicone insulation and thin strands makes it very flexible compared to traditional PVC insulated strands. The strands are hair thin, but because they are individually tinned they don't corrode like other thin strands. Threading them all through a hole in the PCB or connector will be a problem unless you cut the wire flush, apply a small bead of solder to the end, and then remove the end before inserting it into the Insert ferrule or through the hole in your circuit board. The insulation handles this remarkably well, although silicone rubber can withstand much higher temperatures than PVC.
