Review on Apple MacBook 13 Inch 2 3GHz 256GB by Stanislaw Kisiel ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

Important nuances: 1) officially imported laptops have a 2-year warranty, because We have a consumer protection law. Models purchased overseas have a standard 1 year warranty. Look carefully at the article (on the package). It must match 1 of 4 options (this is for a 13" model without a touchbar): MPXQ2RU/A MPXR2RU/A MPXT2RU/A MPXU2RU/A If it matches, then you have an officially imported model. It makes no sense to look at the keyboard, because. in the US, you can also order a Cyrillic keyboard in a store. 2) choose cables carefully, as they look the same (usb-c format), but they support different technologies: usb 2.0 / usb 3.0 / thunderbolt 3. Therefore, do not rush headlong to buy the cheapest cable. The same can be said for any adapters and docking stations. 3) the maximum operating time is achieved only when using standard Apple programs, tk. they are the best optimized. If possible, do not use Google Chrome and Word / Powerpoint / Excel, the battery flies much faster! Replace them with Safari and Pages/Keynote/Numbers. Buy a model WITHOUT a touchbar with an i5 2.3GHz processor, 16GB of RAM and a ssd of at least 256GB if you really need a working machine. My subjective opinion is that all other versions are not worth the money. Enjoy the shopping!

Pros
  • Model without touchbar 13", 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. 1) build quality - fly away, you rarely see such a product. The laptop itself is light and compact, even smaller than the MacBook Air. 2) screen - no glare, VERY bright, perfect color reproduction (bonus for photographers). The resolution is also just right, 4K at 13 inches is a completely unnecessary thing. 3) the speakers for such a compact laptop are excellent, no complaints. 4) the touchpad is perfect, in this regard, Apple has no competitors. 5) keyboard - large keys, each key has its own LED, so the backlight is uniform. For touch typing, it is the most. I noticed that those who are used to hitting the keys when typing do not like the keyboard)) But the advantage of this keyboard is that a light press is enough. So, if you get used to it, then the typing speed is greatly increased compared to the "normal" keyboard. 6) performance is also great. Take a model with i5-7360u (2.3-3.6 GHz), this is an ideal option in terms of price / quality ratio. You should not consider modification with i7, the performance increase is a maximum of 10%, it will heat up even more, and the increase in cost is enormous. It is better to take 16GB of RAM, it will not be possible to add it later. By the way, you can change the SSD in the model without a touchbar yourself, but the price for them is still inadequate . 8) Battery life (under certain conditions) + the ability to charge from power banks! By the way, in the model without a touchbar, the battery capacity is higher. 9) macOS - buying Apple equipment, you get high-quality software and a stable operating system. If desired, you can install Windows as a second system without any problems.
Cons
  • 1) it would be worth putting at least 3 usb-c ports into a model without a touchbar, two can be occupied by a monitor and an external hard drive, but where to charge then? 2) small keys "up" and "down", sometimes I miss. 3) under serious and prolonged loads, it gets very hot. It is solved by replacing the native thermal paste or buying a cooling pad. 4) The bundled usb-c cable only supports usb 2.0. How so?! Those. for normal data transfer you will have to buy a separate cable. 5) really easily soiled screen surface 6) unlike the model with a touchbar, in this version there is only one cooler, a slightly "weaker" wifi module, two microphones instead of three and a not so productive graphics core.
