So far, so good. for my opinion
Co worker broke a 1/4 - 20 tap, and this set came to the rescue. Retrieval of the broken portion went well. I have used these, many times over the years, and have learned to go easy. However if it's a bottoming tap that has bottomed, and broken, heating the surrounding metal will help this tool remove the broken tap. There are several scenarios to consider, but just go easy and use your head.Always wear your safety glasses when working with these tools. Hardened metals can shatter with disastrous results.
