Excellent video bandwidth - everything else is disappointing - died after 13 months

Update: USB and video bandwidth on the second half of the device has died after 13 months. This is no longer a switch, just a relay. Original Review: I use this KVM to switch between a work laptop and a PC. My UHD monitor loves the DisplayPort input, so I really *wanted* to like this product. The good first - video throughput, quality, and switching are excellent. No flicker, no lag, and I can run UHD at 120Hz. AMD FreeSync works great with this switch while gaming, which I wasn't expecting. Now for the disappointments: 1. The video output is on the *front* of the switcher. I think that's why they got away with such a small form factor, but it's ugly and gets in the way of a clean install. I realize this is a fairly minor complaint. If that was the only problem I would be happy with my purchase.2. You cannot wake up a sleeping device via USB when switching from it. This is killer for me. The whole point of a KVM switch is that you don't have to reach under your desk every time you want to use a different device. If you want to switch between computers, both must be activated.3. The rear USB ports (where you need to connect your mouse and keyboard) are not good at all. I can't get either device to work properly - the keyboard sputters extra ghost characters with every input, the webcam stutters, the headset doesn't work, and there's a light but noticeable mouse touch. 4. The front USB ports are great and work great with every device I've tried, but the back ones suck so bad you lose half your usable ports right away. Also, you should use the ports dedicated to your mouse and keyboard for hot-swapping.5. Terrible, completely unusable audio bandwidth. Nothing but a loud hum and hiss. For the price, this switch is definitely not worth it for me. If it was around $60 I would consider living within its confines, but certainly not for $120. I plan to return it next week.
