Review on Josmiebo Non-Scratch Natural Loofah Dish Sponge: Biodegradable and Compostable Cleaning Sponges for a Zero Waste Kitchen (6 Pack) by Tyra Smith

Not for physical use! in Cleaning Tools

I have Josmiebo Natural Loofah Scratch Resistant Dish Sponge, Plant Fiber Kitchen Cleaning Sponge, Zero Waste Kitchen Biodegradable and Compostable Dish Sponge (6 Pack).- OK, WARNING! - Do not use them as a sponge or scraper for the human body! They are not hygienic enough for that and they were not designed for that. I tried them in the bathroom to cleanse/exfoliate the skin on my legs. I have used loofah scrubbers sanitized and sold for this purpose for many years and have never had a problem. BUT using these sponges gave me a horrible rash on my legs the next morning. I took a closer look at the ones I was using and it turned out that when it got wet, some kind of mold appeared in it that I didn't notice while showering. It is not visible on the sponge when dry but shows when wet. Due to the mold problem, I will not use any other sponges on the body OR on dishes! Tub or sink, unless they get so dark when wet that they show mildew. I won't buy them because of the quality.

Pros
  • Clean the whole kitchen: The fibers in the sponge have an excellent cleaning effect. Kitchen sponges are soft enough not to scratch dishes and are the best substitute for stainless steel sponges.
Cons
  • Obsolete
