Don't buy that's my conclusion from the review. It took me a while to install this after the OEM was damaged when installing a more modern audio system tailored to my 20 year old car. The socket mechanism was fine and easily adapted to the original dash mount. When first used, the heating element is defective. A coiled metal band (?) that touches the cigar, joint, whitefish, etc.; essentially unraveled like a fallen ball of yarn from the initial heat. Thankfully no further damage was seen, but what the heck? This is ridiculous and should never happen with a new article! I kept a lighter from an old store and it works great in this store, but the manufacturer needs to take better care of their customers by paying more attention to quality control and the quality of the materials used in production. This is obviously a good all round fit but poor quality.
