I purchased this 1920 x 1080 (FHD) monitor primarily for text applications (Word docs and webpages) on Windows 10 based on the rave reviews for document viewing. However, I didn't like the pixelated/jagged edges of the fonts. I then switched to a 2560x1440 (QHD) monitor and the text quality changed both day and night. Text is much smoother in QHD resolution compared to this FHD resolution. When the text is smoother, it is less tiring to look at for a long time. Microsoft ClearType uses an additional resolution to smooth fonts and you can still keep the same text size as on this monitor. On a QHD monitor the ideal setting is to set the windows screen scaling to 125% and you will have about the same size of icons, webpages, taskbar etc as on this monitor with its 100% scaling but with excellent smoothing . . There isn't much difference in price to upgrade to a QHD resolution monitor, so I highly recommend one of those instead.
