Accidentally bought a built-in fan without an adjustable knob. This unit does a great job of fixing this. High-mid Low is a general setting but it's a full blown attuninator not pushing 3 settings which is good for me. Numbers are just a guide. Have been using it for a few months now connected to 2 fans with a splitter (less than 300w). Works well. I keep it under the rated power. Don't expect great results from ANY product if you turn the fan motor power down too much. Don't exceed (if I remember correctly) 300w if you use more than 1 use fan remember that some fans prefer to go all out when it comes to design just think about what you are doing as a Some folks here seem to get confused with electronics and motors. although it is a good product.
