Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ordered small, bag said L for large, fits like a small?

I injured both of my knees back in highschool/college/early 20's. I'm no longer in my 20's or even 30's. My right knee has a partial ACL tear and my left a partial meniscus tear. I went in to an orthopedic to have them looked at BUUUUUT I'm pregnant, so I can't even take over the counter pain meds. My knees are generally okay but a little weak, and they flair up with pain a few times a year the right one for a week or so at a time and generally about once a year the left one pretty much cripples me for a day or two. With the added weight of being pregnant, plus my sudden shift in my center of gravity has had my knees screaming at me for weeks. Seeking anything at all that would help me get through the day without endangering the baby - I gave these a try.First of all - they are both on my knees right now if that gives you an idea. They came and I was happy that it was a pair - other knee supports have always been a single knee, often don't fit me or if they fit at first, they stretch out and start sliding by the end of the day. After noticing that they were a pair. I was upset to see the large "L" next to the sizing. I'm 5'5 and generally weigh about 110-118 meaning I'm built like an elf from a Tolkien novel. Granted I'm two humans at the moment, but that doesn't mean I suddenly have big thick biker legs. When I put them on - the did fit. and they have a bit of a rubbery layer around the top of the inside that is actually keeping them up.I like that there are two of them, I like that they offer compression but aren't cutting off the circulation when I'm sitting. I work on the second story of a small hospital and there isn't an elevator. I spend about half of my day doing computer work/reports/financials, and the other half walking around the hospital and ensuring things are running smoothly. I tend to go up and down the stairs 8-9 times a day at least. I feared that either these would offer no support at all - or would be so tight that as I sat it would cut into the back of my knees. Neither of these things happened. These aren't going to cure anything for me - but they did lessen my pain at the end of the day a small amount.

Pros
  • Helps prevent future knee damage caused by repetitive impact
Cons
  • They may not provide enough support for individuals with significant knee injuries
