I am a 77 year old disabled person and it was fairly easy for me to install this slide myself. Here's a BIG TIP for you. Although this unit is quite heavy and difficult to hold my hands under the sink while attempting to install it, I used a "jack" under the sink to lift and lock the disposal into the exact position hold while I installed them. WOW! Doing it like I did will save you over $150 in commercial installation costs. at the top/outer top edge in the middle of the sink. And also. the new rubber part comes with the new disposal device and the old rubber part remains with the old disposal device, which is disposed of as a whole. This uninstaller is pretty easy to install with a spinning "Quick Install" cover that works great once installed. The power cord and plug were already connected and properly installed. (Oh, be sure to read the instructions on using a hammer and screwdriver to pry the "little plastic plug" in one of the device's side vents.) Copy, print, and save these helpful instructions for when you're ready to begin installation. I really like this disposal, that's why I give it 5 stars! I would recommend this device to anyone.
