The new version has a manufacturing defect - do not buy it!
I bought these glasses about a year ago and I really liked them, I decided I wanted more. The glass was completely broken on the first delivery, although the shipping box was not damaged. Each glass in the second batch had a small crack at the bottom. Obviously a manufacturing defect, it was not damaged in transit. Any slight drop can destroy these things, and going from cold to hot temperatures can destroy them as well.
