Don't even look at the latches and hooks for car gates
I bought a 6 foot double gate system from a sawmill where I bought cedar fence boards and they came with a latch and hook latch system . Well, anyone who is likely to purchase this product knows that on a 12 foot gate it doesn't take much wind to break the deadbolt and hook lock. Do yourself a favor and buy this reed latch to keep your gate safe. I've reinforced the back of my 2x4 gate where the links are just to make sure they don't go anywhere, but I'm not even sure if they were needed. We just had a 100km/h storm and my gate didn't even move.
