Review on EWH-01 Electric Water Heater Maintenance Kit, Complete with Two 240V Water Heater Thermostats and Elements - 4500W (3500W@208V), Universal Type Replacement Parts for Water Heaters by Justino Pratama

We decided to order this kit to save the trip to the local store. Everything looked fine. The installation has completed and everything seems fine. The water temp seemed a little on the hot side. Lowered the temperature on both thermostats. The water still seemed a little hot but we let it go. Then the switch in the main thermostat started to work. Since we've been using the new parts, we've noticed a recurring trend. The water temperature will be higher no matter where it is set on the thermostats. The breaker then trips again at the thermostat. It's already past the return date so I'll probably just buy another set of thermostats from my local store. Edit: The seller refunded me the full purchase price for this item. They took care of us without any problems. But actually the lower thermostat caught fire. When I went to change the thermostats, I found that the insulation under the cover was burned. Removing the bottom thermostat required some work as the thermostat had melted into the plastic insulation/cover and tank insulation. Although the switch performed its function, a fire broke out. A new set of thermostats solved the problem.
