I use this glass with the d3100. The dimensions of the camera have significantly decreased, while the quality of the resulting photographs, on the contrary, has increased. Much sharper than the previous lens, even at the widest aperture. For this money (about 7 thousand), nothing better than autofocus can be found. At first I thought in the direction of fifty dollars, but it is a little more expensive and it is not always convenient to use such a focal length, or rather not everywhere. I thought the noise from the motor would decrease when recording a video, but it remained at the same level, although I don’t consider this a disadvantage. During normal shooting, the motor is almost inaudible. Good glass at a very reasonable price!
