Not as effective as I was hoping. The concept is sound as it tries to solve the problem that standard pegboard hooks fall out so easily and while this problem is better than not using an anchor at all, they're not a particularly elegant solution. Basically they just create a slightly smaller hole for hooks to insert through while adding extra friction in the form of a rubber bushing around the hook shank. Once inserted, the hooks no longer stick to the perforated plate. This is because the curvature of the hook is not 90 degrees where it enters the curb. Since these sockets do not have a recess for this, all hooks are now angled upwards. Then what these anchors don't seem to do is stop the hook from rotating up when you remove something that might catch on the hook. For example, if something small like a 6mm wrench is hanging from a hook and you lift it in such a way or at such an angle that the edge of the hole rubs on the hook when you remove it, the hook flips and comes out of that latch. You are now back where you started before even using them. If you're very careful when unhooking things with small holes, or if you rush to unhook something when it has a larger hole (like a 13mm wrench) they work fine, but that's the point Not. . Care must be taken to remove something carefully so as not to rub or snag the item on the hook on the way up. I found a way to incorporate small zip ties into this design and make them work better than they could on their own, even foolproof, but I wouldn't buy them again as I don't want to waste time changing what have to make them more efficient at all. At $10 they were a cheap experiment, but I realized that if you already have a ton of those standard pegboard hooks, spend the extra money and get some really good anchors in return.
