Review on Cottonblue Waterproof Mattress Protector Protection by Mike Carter

I really like this waterproof mattress pad with one caveat - it's dark grey! I've never seen a mattress cover that wasn't white so I was surprised when it arrived. If you have very pale colored sheets of any shade, the gray will disrupt your intended look and make the flat sheet look darker than your top sheet. However, if you have darker sheets or need an excuse to buy darker sheets, that doesn't bother you in the least. Plus, this is truly one of the highest quality waterproof mattress pads I've ever owned. We have several dogs and while this is rare, sometimes we needed extra protection for our mattress. One of the reviewers submitted a video saying it's quite loud. However, this is strange as the mattress topper I received is NOT noisy, or at least not as noisy as shown in his video. The pad's underside is covered with a white plastic cloth and makes noise when touched. However, if you touch the gray upper side, the volume drops to barely perceptible. Disclaimer: I washed and dried this pillow before putting it on the bed, so maybe that helped reduce the rustling? I don't feel like sleeping on plastic wrap at all. In fact, thanks to the padding, in this case almost every sound disappears. Another thing I love about this cover (enough to ignore the gray color) is how well it fits my mattress and STAYS IN POSITION! My mattress is about 8" and this cover has plenty of headroom when it comes to full tucking and a little under the entire mattress. The pillow doesn't move or wrinkle, it stretches tight and stays that way all night! The pillow is very easy to wash and dry. The corners will retain some water when you take it out of the washing machine (due to its waterproof properties), so be prepared for water to get on you even after spinning. It dried faster than expected. Odd color aside, I highly recommend this mattress cover. I would even buy it again!
