Avoid Samsung SSD T7. My experience is similar to other people's experience with this product. SSDs in particular cause computers to overheat. The SSD also gets very hot! The problem is not related to I/O or compute load. The problem occurs when connecting the SSD to the computer. Interestingly, the Samsung T5 does not have these problems. I assume the T7 is just an overclocked T5. If my suspicions are correct, Samsung engages in some very dubious business practices. Please do yourself a favor and avoid T7 as it will ruin your hardware.
