Compared to modified grand piano box. Advantages of WING: easy to install (anywhere, no bolt required), easy to install (cut a hole, insert into the wall, turn the screws to open and press the wings against the wall). Slightly cheaper / wide availability. Cons: Fragile, may feel like attached items are bending; Depending on the spacing between the studs and the quality of the wall, there may be sagging (or, if you're clumsy), cracking in the wall area. Be careful with steps like breaking off stubborn new wire tabs or screwing items into a box so you don't damage a weak wall. Just as good, even better than (screws or nails) the original assembly boxes, which are usually also attached to the side of the linkage. This particular product also has a nice thick frame, the box itself is solid. They did a smart job of giving you access to the set screws with a minimal footprint. Cons: More difficult or at least less convenient to place as you need a stud/crossbar and have to be more precise in cutting the hole so the edge is on the stud. It's harder to level the box if your cleats are very curved (although most terminals allow for level adjustment, in most situations this shouldn't be a problem). Slightly less interior space than some wing designs. The right/left side of the box may be uneven as the screws can cause the opposite side to pull in a bit deeper when tightened, worse if the pin is twisted - a little extra spacer or plastic tabs on the back edge of the box will help prevent this. GENERAL If there are no lug spacing issues I plan to use them in the future. They are just as durable as the original build quality and will hold up regardless of the type of accident in the box, yet are easy to install and cheap for one-off projects at home. I've had enough experience finding lugs and cutting holes to cut nice holes next to the lugs - fender design might be better if you're new to it.
