I got this to replace the 1750 and 960 in my pond. Surprisingly, the 960 was the loudest, the 1750 came second, and this pump was the quietest. These Eco pump diaphragms are thin, so I have a habit of replacing them with EPDM, which is a bit thicker, as soon as they arrive, and I change the diaphragm on schedule. Changes quickly, about 5 minutes once you've practiced it. I change all 3 but I don't usually see excessive wear until the 5-6 month mark. So loud? 59dB at 59Hz with the pump box lid closed, 1750 is 69dB at 59Hz and 960 is 75dB at 59Hz. I would highly recommend this product to pond owners.
