A good start, but not complete. Get adjustable sway bar links!

Overall it did what we wanted it to do. However, we learned a valuable lesson. You'll need a few more parts to complete the rise and maintain stability and alignment. In addition to the lift, you should definitely get: 1) Front and rear adjustable crossbars, otherwise the body will be about an inch thicker. off-centre.2) Adjustable anti-roll bars, at least for the front. If you plan on driving it off-road, you'll need to do the rear end, too. 3) New traction (connected to the steering). This is necessary to correct the geometry, otherwise the steering will become very unstable. 4) New bracket to move the handlebar to correct the geometry. Another important component for correcting steering and steering 5) wishbone mounts again to correct the geometry and improve handling 6) this is not a part but a tool. More tools. I had to find an aftermarket 1-13/16" wrench. Also bought a spring compressor to get the spring back. Like I said, the kit will get you started, but it really wasn't a safe ride, after you've just gotten over the climb, since without the extra parts it's really dangerous, since when going straight the steering becomes "windy" and you get the so-called "steering" where the movement on the usual road bumps towards jerks in the movement of the car results in. After this kit we probably spent another $800 on extra parts, not counting a few hundred on extra tools that I didn't have and I don't mind spending them since I have them Will use again for other projects. Finally it looks great. and got a lot of compliments. However, we will end up pulling the spacers and replacing them with real lift springs. The driving with spacers installed gives a very stiff, ribbed ride. Not very nice.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
