They fit in recess in recessed tail lights
Tried to replace my C3 Corvette brake lights with other LED brake lights and they wouldn't seat deep enough to latch in. These bulbs have a taper around the base allowing the bulb to seat. Don't forget the resistors to prevent hyper flash.
