I bought this lock after my teenage son broke the key in one of the most expensive kryptonite mini padlocks rendering it useless. This lock is easy to use and offers moderate security in scenarios with low to medium risk of theft, such as. etc. I think this is an improvement in security over most combination cable locks as the chain links are very thick. Actually the whole lock is quite heavy and I mostly leave it at home. If you prefer a combination lock and don't want to leave your $1,500 bike in NYC overnight, this might work for you.
