I have had them for a long time and I decided to share my opinion with them. I have ridden them at least 200 miles and they have not let me down. I run and hike mostly in muddy, scruffy areas and they're great for off-trail adventures. As for the other activities listed on the box, they say they can be used, pavement running is fine for them if you walk on their forefoot, although I still prefer basic running shoes. I've used them as running shoes a few times and they've held up great, I didn't really notice them anyway. However, if you use them to lift weights (as the packaging says) I wouldn't switch my ellipticals or lifters just yet - they're pretty good for deadlifts, but heavy squats are a different story. .I bought a size up as recommended by a friend, didn't have to although they haven't fallen off yet so I think I'm fine.
