This is truly a must have for anyone who owns a Moen touchless faucet. This kit is a power supply with an interface that allows you to use your existing battery as a backup battery in the event of a power outage. What are you getting? - AC adapter that allows you to power your faucet from a household outlet. - Control module that uses the included AC adapter and battery that came with your faucet as input and powers your faucet as output. The problem is that you really need an always-on household power source (110/120V) somewhere near (preferably under) your sink. If you have it, it literally takes 3 minutes to install. If not, then things get a little more complicated. For some without disposal, you can use switchable power under the sink and just leave the switch on all the time. If that doesn't work, you'll have to have someone run the wiring under the sink. To minimize costs, ask them if they can place a junction box next to another appliance (like a dishwasher or ice maker) and run a line from there. I installed this device and it works great. However, I'm deducting a star because the price is outrageously high.
