These ball joints only lasted 5 months and a few thousand miles on my 1986 Toyota pickup. They're not even worn out. They are completely shot through and unsafe to move. They have so much play that they almost fall apart if you look closely. I am shocked. I don't drive off-road and I'm not hard on a truck. What really impresses me is that 5 months and only a few thousand miles is far from a reasonable expectation for parts life. This isn't just about poor quality. This is an absolutely irresponsible production. I noticed some rumble in the truck and assumed it could be due to misalignment and possibly a bad diff bearing etc. The ball joints were brand new so I didn't even bother to check them. Selling parts of this lousy quality isn't just the typical cheap stuff on the market. More like cheating. It seems to me that I bought items that looked like ball joints, which immediately and very quickly began to disintegrate as soon as they drove off. Of course, not everyone with Moog ball joints has experienced this. Maybe something was wrong with the two of them. The upper ball joints on my truck are also Moog and I installed them at the same time as the lower ones and they are still tight and seem fine at the moment. I sent an email to Moog with a warranty issue. Let's see how well they handle it.
