In this price range, that's a great thing. Paying more money you can get one with more bells and whistles if that doesn't suit your needs. Sliding windows with each switch is a bit of a hassle, as it loses the connection as if you've unplugged the HDMI cable, but that's what you get when you skimp on a KVM switch. If it really bothered me, I would have gone for something better. As long as you know how to use it properly, there is no problem. You cannot switch to the input of a computer that is turned off. There has to be an input to the HDMI cable and power to that USB or the box won't switch to it. There are so many bad reviews that people just don't get it and think it's broken. no It's intentional. You didn't want to spend hundreds on a full-fledged KVM that does it all, so you bought it. If you can turn on both machines, this will work for you. So keep that in mind when purchasing. You CANNOT just use this to switch USB, you need to switch HDMI inputs as well. If you only want to switch USB, please buy a dedicated USB switch, not this product.
