Okay this is my first time buying a house, I lived in the house for a month and the 6 year old kid started screaming that the toilet was broken. I wasn't happy as I'm a total idiot when it comes to housekeeping (I'm a student but it's a steep curve for me). So I was a little shocked when I lifted the toilet lid to see what was inside (really who does that?) My wife and I looked at each other and said what the heck is that? So I googled the model and figured out what kind of toilet and valves work. Found the product here on AMZN. Ordered, arrived a few minutes ago. I opened the box (completely intact, no damage) and yes, the same product. So I went to the bathroom, took off the old Fluidmaster and replaced it with a shiny new one. To my surprise. IT WORKS OUT! and that's how long it took me to unscrew the old one, toss it in the bin, and screw the new one in. Did 5 flush tests, adjusted the water flow to a good fill rate (who needs slow speed? If you gotta go, you gotta go!), and I'm happy. I can check it on my men's card and say yes I fixed the toilet. I will be buying another Fluidmaster as a backup next month as I have 2 toilets with this unit and ALWAYS need a spare. My suggestion: figure out how many you have and buy an extra throw off the shelf so you're prepared in the event of a breakage. Thanks, product is great, works, easy to install. Tools are not required. Lift the toilet lid, unscrew the old Fluidmaster, screw in the new Fluidmaster, adjust the water flow and put the lid back on the toilet. GOOD TO GO. It was a great experience in every way, hence 5 stars from me. Remember I'm an idiot homeowner! It was so easy and simple. When I say anyone can do it, I mean ANYONE can do it, dammit, even a kid can do it. Next time a 6-year-old comes into action, give them basic skills! :)
