Incredible Performance

I bought 2 W/D 74 Gig Raptors 8-10 years ago and they both still work great. I bought this hard drive for my dash cam. I won't mention my service provider who provides great TV service but I have used about 4 DVRs in the 4 or 5 years I have had this service due to hard drive failures. The dash cam uses a Segate hard drive which I failed in about a year or less after which I lose all my recordings. When my replacement DVR arrived I downloaded and set up a new DVR, then took it apart and installed this 500GB Raptor drive, based on my past experience with the durability of Raptor hard drives and also because I was tired of losing your notes. I'll keep updating over time, but I'm looking forward to more durability from the Raptor over the Segate. Come to think of it, I've never had reliable Segate drive service, even on my HP computers and the computers I build and repair. Remember that anything that spins at 10,000 RPM is well designed and these hard drives need to be updated. This hard drive works great with the Uverse dash cam, takes 12 minutes to swap out and doubles the recording space. It's also much faster on seeks and makes recording better, as the Raptor's platter is actually one of the best in the world.
