When I opened it for the first time, there were already scratches and rust on some pipes. At this point I would normally return it but we are renovating a few bedrooms in our home and I was in dire need of a place to put clothes and shoes. I started collecting but it didn't get any better. He said the wrong screws to connect some parts. I had to go back and cancel the first part of what I had put together in order to do the next part as instructed. 🙄 After that, some parts had to be glued together to make it work. I couldn't get all the screws in the next step because one of the circuit boards was blocking where the screws were supposed to be. For this reason I cannot recommend it. No one wants to receive something that is already in bad shape and then put together horribly. Not to mention that I did end up with a few extra scratches trying to put it together because some of the pieces didn't come together as instructed. Otherwise, there are a few good things to say about him. I really like the wooden boards. Occasionally pieces of wood pop up and they look like they were screen printed. This wood looks great. The overall aesthetics (scratches and rust aside) are really great too. It looks like it came straight from Pinterest/Instagram. It survived. I loaded the hanger with more clothes than I thought it would and it's holding up. (We're talking 30 clothing items, some of them heavy.) The bottom shelves are great for shoes and folded clothing, as well as sock and underwear bins. They are deep enough for me to fit my husband's size 15 shoes on them. The metal brackets that attach to the wooden backs aren't the most functional. I have things hanging from them as well as things hanging from a clothes rail, but it takes a lot of effort to take something off the back without taking it all off the front. Depending on what you're using it for, you'll probably just want to choose between using rear hangers or a hanging bar. Another disadvantage of rear hangers is that when you take them off, they tend to move and sometimes come loose.
