Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Bigtreetech Ender3Pro Filament Extruder by Walter Martin

No longer suitable for Ender v2

The motor has changed in the latest Ender 3 v2. The shaft is no longer keyed and the factory feed roll is pressed onto the shaft. As a result, the new set screw is too high to engage the shaft. Also, you have to remove the old pressed roller before you can see the problem. As a result, this WILL NOT work on the newer Ender 3. If you look down at your extruder and the motor shaft isn't protruding past the roller mechanism, it's not working. You can find it on Thingiverse for Ender 3. Now I know none of them will work with their latest model. Hm. I can probably blame Creality for that, but the supplier of this extruder must also be up to date. If they made the bottom of the gear longer and put a set screw in there it would work, but you still have to remove the pinch roller from the motor. Well that sounds negative and if you have this model I think it is - however their customer service is just great. They immediately contacted me to clarify and solve the problem. Although this ended up being referred to their engineers for a permanent fix, they offered me options and refunded the money very quickly. I will definitely buy from them again.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
