Doesn't work for Escort Max 360

I have a Max360 and even though the pins are in the right places the radar detector won't turn on. It should be noted (not sure if this matters) that the escort cable only has 4 wires inside, and there are 6. I don't know why it doesn't turn on, but it doesn't. I couldn't use any of them in the kit.
