The socket in this kit fits male connectors 9005 and 9006. The male socket in the kit only fits 9006 bulbs. I had to put them in a 9005 bulb. Since they cost $7, I used a utility knife to remove some of the stuff and get it to work instead of bringing it back. But don't expect them to be plug and play with 9005 bulbs. I have tested compatibility with two different brands of 9005 high beam bulbs (Hella and Sylvania) both of which correctly match the OEM wiring harness. The problem with installing this kit occurred with both brands of lamps.
