I'll keep it short and sweet: 1. Contrary to what is stated in the description, this device ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT MEASURES BODY TEMPERATURE AND CANNOT BE USED FOR IT. THAT IS AN EXCELLENT LIE. You can set the emissivity, but there is no setting for the stated temperature range. You "can" take body temperature, but it won't be accurate or consistent. This is a good (and fun) camera. I "hunted ghosts" all over the house with my grandchildren. With a little planning, you can leave heat signatures and "find" them later, which terrifies everyone. I seem to have weird handprints on the wall and people sit in chairs when no one is around. Ooooh, creepy.3. It can recognize animals in the dark. From about 30 minutes I picked up a rabbit in the backyard. The best night setting for this seems to be arctic or black heat.4. It has good detail and allows you to see what you're looking at from a reasonable distance. Of course there's no zoom, so it's good for looking at the switch box, but the little bunny I mentioned earlier was just a minor point. In my switch box, I could see how much electricity my two water heaters were using. Hooray! 5. The ability of a Bluetooth device to transfer an image to a phone is great. You can use the software to generate a report and send it to the customer (or someone else) or take a picture of your air conditioner overheating and send it to your HVAC specialist. Great.6. You can check for air leaks, cold and hot spots, and working windows. You can see water pipes through walls, check coils in freezers and cold stores, check car radiators or condensers for clogs, and so on. You can even see the inefficiency of your doors. It's like x-ray vision! Cons: I don't have many, but one seems to stand out. It lags behind. The image generated is a real time image with a thermal overlay and they can easily be matched. Sometimes when you move the device the picture moves, but the thermals lag behind and you have to wait for it to catch up. It also rinses off easily. If you're checking a house and come across a light that's boosted by a thermal camera, it will wash out and you'll have to wait for it to reset. I have both 165 and 267 and 267 is the best buy, worth even for a casual user like me.
