Review on Maximize Garage Space with Rubbermaid FastTrack Garage Storage Basket by Robert Toomey

So I couldn't write an overview of the whole system, but let's get started. I decided to redo much of the garage storage and organization. I had a few things hanging on the wall here and there, a few things stacked in the corner, some things on shelves that could actually be hung, etc. The main tool used for the reorganization was the fast-tracking System by Rubbermaid. . It was a bit more expensive than I thought overall, but mostly because I kept thinking about using it extra and buying extra hooks, extra rails, etc. I ended up with 6 of the 48 inch rails and probably 20 or so. different hooks. In many of the photos I've seen, people have very well spaced, beautiful displays, but I was more interested in functionality - to store as many things as possible! So it may look a bit chaotic, but everything has its place and everything is easily accessible! In the main corner of the garage I've used it to store my bike mechanic's stand, two snow shovels, a regular shovel, two rakes, a pole excavator, a pole saw, a chainsaw, five extensions (some on a rubber pad extension adapter) which I'm not a big fan of , but works fine. The rest hangs on casters), cart, three tennis rackets, two brooms, leaf blower, weeds, three pedestals, hair clippers, axe, sledgehammer, hand spreader, large spreader and a rag for the car Also I have a separate stand with bike, helmet, pump and Shoes made - everything hangs nice and tidy! A few notes on each part: - The extension cable looks poorly constructed if it is not mounted right next to the fork. There's no way to unhook it and actually use the cord other than untangling everything and unplugging. If I had to do it again I wouldn't waste my time doing it. The bike rack seems good and actually places the bike the perfect distance from the wall, but over time it makes me nervous. It says it can hold 50 pounds. I'm not sure how heavy my bike is, but the handlebars sagged a bit when I put the bike in. Hope he stays strong! Unfortunately, some plastic parts that go over the rails won't last forever. Especially in the heat of the garage. Let's see how they hold up over time. Installing the rails themselves was pretty easy. The hardest part was finding the bolts (the garage was unfinished, it wasn't difficult as the nails were still visible). I used a mounting kit, although I probably could have gotten by with my own screws and anchors. I used two holes in each stud and 2-3 anchors on a 48" rail and it worked fine. Overall I give the system five stars. I like it when everything is well organized!
