A good product at a good price, I advise you to try it.
The old tires (GOODYEAR EfficientGrip Performance, fantastic tires, by the way) were slightly worn out; I measured around 4mm of tread remaining, and the tires no longer held very well in a rut or resisted hydroplaning, so I opted to replace them before a lengthy trip. The new tires needed to be safe, therefore features including short stopping distances, good rut behavior, and resistance to hydroplaning were prioritized. After reading their ad, I decided to go with MICHELIN Primacy 4. Shortest stopping distance and superior resistance to hydroplaning were among their claimed benefits. The Nokian Tires Nordman SX2 tires were the second type on my list since they seemed to have similar qualities to the ones I was looking for (low stopping distance, good resistance to aquaplaning). So, I went with the MICHELIN Primacy 4 because it also claimed to have better wear resistance in the ads. I've only skated for one season, so I can't say much just now. So I went out and bought some MICHELIN Primacy 4 tires, and after driving on dry pavement for a few kilometers, I was completely convinced of their effectiveness. My previous GOODYEAR EfficientGrip Performance tires would not have saved me from a head-on collision when I was cut off. However, as I reduced my speed on MICHELIN Primacy 4, the vehicle came to a complete halt. The ad's first claim was accurate. After a long trip during which it rained heavily, we finally got to put the new rubber to the test on a rut and a puddle. They weren't lying to you when they said this rubber would make you feel safe in the wet and the rut. It was terrifying riding in the rain and ruts on the previous GOODYEAR EfficientGrip Performance, so I'm relieved I upgraded. Summary. The MICHELIN Primacy 4 tire is designed for drivers that prioritize safety above everything else. They can stop in a very short distance and are unafraid of wet roads and potholes. Just suitable for people who value silence during their commute. High rolling resistance is a major drawback, but perhaps it's worth it to have such a short stopping distance.
- One, the advertised short stopping distance is accurate. Second, it has great rut and hydroplane resistance. Third, it is more resistant to wear. They said this in ads as well, although it's unclear if this is true after only one season. 4. Noise. There's nothing objectively wrong with the Skoda Octavia, other than its noisy tires and subpar sound insulation. From what we can see, after switching to MICHELIN Primacy 4, they didn't start raising their voices in the cabin or turn up the level on the radio cassette player. But ever since I put on the new winter Dunlop WM002 (they're notoriously noisy), I've had to crank up the volume on the radio and elevate my voice to be heard by my fellow passengers in the back.
- One, the high resistance to rolling. More than a liter of fuel is being used for every 100 kilometers now. It's not a fairy tale; it's a reality. In the month of November, while I am writing this evaluation, I have already switched to winter tires. Normal levels of consumption were quickly restored. I shall illustrate one manifestation of rolling resistance. Strogino, Katukova St., next to McDonald's, is a long, straight stretch of road where I frequently drive. When I get going at the first light but then see red at the second, I ease off the gas and let the car coast to the second light, where I can safely apply the brakes when the light turns green. Specifically, GOODYEAR's EfficientGrip Performance. And on MICHELIN Primacy 4, the vehicle comes to a complete halt (!) after 20 meters, as if someone had lightly pressed on the brake and not released it. Also, "wadded wheel" is a synonym. This is actually a benefit rather than a drawback. These tires are designed for peace and quiet, not "playing tag at a speed of 150 km/h." You get the hang of controlling the new wheels in no time, and you just crank the steering wheel more sharply as you approach a corner. Dated 2022 production. Maybe that’s why everything has been going wrong.
