Good product - Excellent customer service

Delivery: The product arrived quickly even without Prime delivery. Now, about the product. The mesh seems to be of good quality. The stitches around the framing wire seems solid. The bag it came with is an added plus, although I’m planning to leave the shade on for the summer.Size & Fit: I own a 2018 M3. I bought the 2021 shade as many reviewers said that works on the 2018 M3. It does work. However, I wish the shade was about half inch larger on both width and length. Note that I’m not worried that the shade will fall on me while driving. The clips are holding the shades good. I am not seeing any sagging. But I see a 1/4 inch gap around the edges. (See photos). Also note that the gap does NOT impede product functionality or aesthetics in anyway. It doesn’t send light through the gap causing any glare or anything. It is just that it is not a "perfect” fit. I wouldn’t be too concerned about that as I am already used to it in a week now!Installation is straightforward. One person can do it though it required a teeny bit struggle as the shade came off of one side when I tried to adjust the other side. This where the 1/4” gap I mentioned caused some trouble as I was trying to hug the edges on one side that caused a 1/2” gap on the other side causing the shade come off the clip. Once I balanced it with 1/4” gap on both sides it stayed in perfect. May be the sizing is perfect on the newer models of model 3s.Removal: I didn’t take it out after I put it in as I didn’t want to go through the 2 minutes of balancing act again. If it were to be a perfect fit it would be a breeze. However, if someone wants to put it in and off they can do it fairly easily. Keep in mind, for comparison, this is not as easy as one putting on a windshield shade and removing it - since this involves four clips. Oh… I wish it was six clips instead of four, just for extra peace of mind given the fit on 2018 M3 is not "perfect”.Rear shade: The same gap exists on rear shade as well but it is NOT a big deal.Functionality: It cuts down the heat wonderfully. Plus the darkened shade provides a cooling effect as well. Note that I still can see through the shade on a bright sunny day (not fully opaque) and I like that. By the way, I didn’t even try the silver reflector overlay as I find the shade satisfactory even without it.Customer service: Amazing! I was missing the clip. Sent a note via Revain and it arrived the next day!Rating: if not for the gap I mentioned, this would have been a five star instead of four.

Pros
  • Great Rear Piece: The rear piece is nice because it doesn't cover the entire rear. The OEM version covers the entire rear sunroof and back window, the complaints I've read are you can't see out of the OEM sunshade, thus you have to remove this or create an unsafe driving environment. This product has solved this problem with creating a sunshade that allows you to still see out of the back window. This also cuts down on the amount of light and heat coming into the car
Cons
  • May not provide enough UV protection
