This is a well-made 7pin to 6 pin adapter with a coiled, expandable cord. As someone that has had many different trailers and tow vehicles over the years, I can tell you that it is good to have a cord such as this on hand.The thing to always look out for before you ever hook one of these up, or any trailer connector, is that the wires and connection match. There is a "universal” way of wiring, which is followed by most people, but not all. I tried once to convince my father of this fact, just before he and my sister decided to do a cross-country trip with my sister’s pickup and his camper. He had wired her truck a few days before the trip. He had also wired his camper and his truck a year or so earlier. I asked if he had fused the main hot wire from the alternator, he ignored me. He also did not bother to test the connections because, well he had done them both, so they had to work (or so he thought). About 20 minutes before the trip he did the connection, using his own cable, with her truck running and promptly blew out the alternator on her truck. A couple of hundred dollars later and about 3 hours of my time repairing his project, they went on their way. But that is another story, for another time.This gets 5 stars. I think my story should get a few stars too.Note: I have been an Best Buy customer for almost 20 years. I write all of my reviews to reflect my personal observations and opinions on a product. It matters not if I have purchased the item myself or if it was provided to me for review. My goal is to provide other potential customers as much real-world knowledge as possible to make an informed decision. In most cases I will return to my review in 6 months or less to see if I should alter my original observations. In no case will the cost of a product influence my opinions at all.
