Glass containers are 2 cups thicker and only have lids.
Glass jars are 2 cups thicker and the lids only fit these new jars. We have an old set of Pyrex glass jars with thinner walls and the new lids don't fit. I picked up an old 2 cup glass jar tonight and the new lid popped right off! Older Pyrex-2 cup lids are too big for older, thinner-walled Pyrex-2 cups.
