Molly Fry's heads get stuck in cracks and dangling body parts get eaten!

I have not had a single brood that has survived this breeder. I have guppies and piebald juveniles that survive in 2 of my other tanks without the use of a breeding tank but one of my tanks has too many thorns and other excited fish that usually eat all the juveniles before I even know what mom gave birth to. So in this one tank I decided to give this grow box a try. I've put Sword Moms and Molly Moms in it and so far none of the boys have survived. Some bodies get stuck in the V-slots and never reach the bottom of the breeder. The few that make it to the bottom of the tank will be snapped in half by the fish on the outside of the tank as their tails dangle through slots in the bottom of the tank. So I wake up in the morning with a bunch of fish heads at the breeder's. I put java moss in a box and a layer of gravel on the bottom of the brooder so that when the fish go through the V brooder they can at least be saved from farmed fish. Last time I skipped the V-baffle and just took gravel, a ton of java moss and a slotted insert; I just turned it upside down and hoped the kids would at least crawl through the big cracks. Also, the V-shaped insert is VERY difficult to pull out. After the last mother gave birth and a bunch of fry got stuck on top because their heads were too big to fall to the bottom of the tank, I tried to remove the V-shaped liner while I was in the tank so the babies were there could be the bottom of the tank. Tank. I must have killed more fry trying to get V out. Very complicated. Also, the box doesn't always stay attached to the tank wall, maybe in a tank full of guppies, but not in a tank full of larger, more active fish. I found this box halfway to the tank pushed by the airline. Oh, and the lack of assembly instructions is disappointing. Everything is properly assembled in the box for those who want to try it. Just make sure you remember exactly how it was put together when you take it out of the box. It was very confusing for me the first time because my excited 8 year old unwrapped it for me. :(
