Buyers beware Lifetime doesn't exceed two years

It's okay, the LG recorder just went from a Blu-ray player/recorder to an expensive DVD/CD player for no damn reason. I last used it as a Blu-ray burner to back up my files two weeks ago. I paid $130 for just two years of service. Don't bother calling OWC customer service (because it's just a chassis manufacturer/dealer) or LG because they won't replace this drive after a year, maybe not even that long. WH16NS40 is obsolete according to LG repair. You can also choose not to, or take the risk and end up paying more for your local dealer to fix it for the price of a new hard drive. As for me, I have to somehow find a quality burner that actually lasts 2+ years to fit in an OWC case because this thing wasn't cheap and it doesn't dust here because LG can't make quality products that last 2 years .
