I am very impressed with this vise and expect it to last long after I'm gone. So yes, 5 stars are well deserved. However, DO NOT use the paper "assembly template" provided. This is ridiculously wrong in so many ways. I wonder who gave it the green light! First, it specifically states that it is "not to scale". Say what? Tell me, what's the use of a "pattern" that doesn't match the actual item to be assembled? Especially since a real footprint would easily fit on a 1:1 scale page anyway! Are they just mocking us? But it's actually *very close* to 1:1 scale! That is, the spacing between the printed holes is pretty much what is stated; actually measures 3-15/16". Even so, the four screw holes on the *template* form a SLOT, and the four *actual* screw holes on the vise form a SQUARE! 7/1 Screws 6. Just use the vise yourself as a template and you have a great tool forever Five, count them FIVE stars!
