Excellent cold. Cools and freezes fast, uses only 60w AC and 5 amps DC, 12v. Great for camping, uses a lot less power than my thermoelectric cooler and cools 5x faster. It is also very quiet, it has two motors: a 12V supercharged motor and a 12V condenser fan. So quiet that you can easily sleep in the camper even at night. Well insulated and all metal, very strong but weighs about 48 pounds. The thermostat is digital and is +/- 3 degrees from my calibrated thermometer. The unit cools to about 4 degrees below setpoint, then turns off, heats up to setpoint, and then turns on. It has 3 compressor power modes: MAX, Auto and Eco mode. Ampere ratings: MAX = 5.5 amps, Auto = 4.5-5 amps, Eco = 2.8 amps. Turns off when battery is low. DC voltmeter to display input voltage and current temp simultaneously. Also features automatic switching from AC to DC and vice versa without moving cables, switches or connectors. Just keep both AC and DC connected all the time and it will give AC priority if present. It switches seamlessly to direct current while driving. It looks like there's a 110V to 12V step-down power supply inside that powers the controller and motors. Mine has been on the hike for 2 weeks and so far it is a solid unit. 5 stars, I should have bought it a few years ago. Came in double packaging, no dents or damage. Delay for 5-6 days.
