Do not purchase this product if you intend to record video and audio. The video is recorded well, but the audio is slow. When trying to record audio, a buzzing/buzzing noise comes from the device. The problem is with the device itself, I've swapped out the cables and the software and tried it on different computers with different operating systems and the same one with the same operating system, thinking that different speakers and audio drivers would make a difference, but it wasn't Case. I would not buy any other brand of this style video capture card. There are many on Revain with a different logo/name, AVOID THEM. UPDATE: I gave this product 3 stars instead of the original 1 and here's why. If you use the USB extender that came with the device, it will be very weak and result in a distorted hum. Instead I used a USB extension cable I got from Belkin and this time the sound is nice and clear. I've been recording on the device for 1 hour with no problems. I'm only interested in this device to record material directly from TV shows and not VHS etc. Overall I'm happy with the product as I was able to find a workaround. This information may be useful to someone else.
