I confess I don't have much experience with the handcart strap. But it seemed elementary to me. For a very long time I wrapped it around a huge terracotta pot that had to be transported in my little handcart. As soon as I put the cart on, the strap slipped and the pot fell off the cart and broke. The second pot that was moved I wrapped like a mummy. The overkill was ridiculous. And the strap slipped again. Fortunately, this time I was ready to fail. I know there is a better option. One with combs? Either way, you need 15 feet to secure the item and keep it from shifting.
