Looks good, but poorly made or designed?

We recently renovated a countertop and sink and were happy to install a new faucet but after a few weeks of use we found that the faucet body was loose at the base . Our first thought was that the plumber must not have securely fastened it from below, so we called him back, only to point out that the under-counter mounting wasn't the problem, it was that the faucet body was poorly secured to the base. so designed or constructed that the threaded portion of the valve base does not remain on the valve stem. Any movement of the crane (left/right) will cause the assembly to fall apart and the crane to "swing" on the left side. The price was lower than competing models; Now we know why. I'm not sure I can accept the saying "got what you paid for" as given its apparent uselessness given the resulting faulty attachment to its base it was still overpriced. Disappointing.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Not bad but...
