Has good and bad sides

I've been looking for a ladder like this for a long time but I'm not quite thrilled with what I got here. This is a 16'6" telescopic extension ladder that folds like a ladder. In terms of multi-purpose use, it is configured roughly like this. However, if you need a different height (uneven terrain) ladder on each side, does this work. The pull out works as described but I haven't found anything that can be "single handed" in, out and in. The weight is a lot heavier than I ever imagined. I think one of you guys "He's quite energetic, or Rambo, he's light. I'm neither and he's not for me. When it's extended, it locks securely with every step. I had no complaints when he stretched all the way out and climbed onto his roof. Never did he feel like he had to give way or release a step that should have been blocked. The strength and quality features to protect each locking piece are there, it's just not as versatile as I'd like.I h abe ladders and an extension but needed something to put a 2 x 12 on to work as a scaffolding section. That's not it. For the same price I could have one with the same length and features but with a few extra features it doesn't have. This costs (I think) around $140 (at the time of this review), but is iffy as it's not currently available. There are many such stairs on the market now, I would compare them. Make sure you look up weight classes, safety features and what they can do. It's not a bad product, just not exactly what I was looking for.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not the best
