Review on LG 27UP650 W DisplayHDR Borderless: Enhanced Viewing Experience with Adjustable Features, and Anti-Glare Coating by Todd Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An HDCP-compliant 4k UHD monitor enables Blu-Ray playback.

I now use three 4k UHD monitors on my desktops. I started with a Crystal Pro III Monoprice 4k monitor as my main monitor and two HP 1080p monitors. I'm tired of resolution mismatches when moving my mouse between monitors. I bought two LG 4k monitors to replace the HP FD 1080p monitors. Back then I had three 4k monitors and mouse movement between monitors was smooth. When I tried to play a Blu-ray movie, I got an error message saying it can't be played because my monitor doesn't support HDCP. I ran a program to check the HDCP status on each monitor. The two LG monitors met the requirements, but the Monoprice monitor did not. My primary monitor had to be HDCP compliant in order to play my Blu-ray movie on either monitor. I replaced the Monoprice monitor with this LG monitor and now everything works. This monitor also supports HDR.
