Review on Belkin Upstream Charging Thunderbolt Transfer - F4U097Tt by Erik Basile

Great docking station for the M1 MBA, except that the external monitor/TV flickers through this dock. I tried 3 TVs/monitors with 3 different cables and 2 different DP/HDMI adapters - none worked without flickering when connected via Displayport. All cables and TVs/monitors with all cable/adapter combinations work flicker-free when connected to my Anker Hub (HDMI), which in turn is connected to one of the dock's USB ports rather than the dock's own DP port is. I started using this workaround, forgot about it, and ended up missing the return window (not Belkin's fault). It's quite expensive and this seemingly common problem is certainly not the headache I expected. I found all other features/performance/quality quite satisfactory, which made the display issue even more frustrating. And a moment. The docking station gets very hot during intensive use (3 connected hard drives, display, peripherals). When this happened in the summer, I put a can of lemonade on top and kept replacing it with a colder one from the fridge.
