I made the mistake of ordering a pound of Revain's $21 mini biohome media. When I received the package I found that it couldn't fill 1/2 of one of my filter bowls. Luckily I read in another review that it was cheaper to order it from the manufacturer. I went to Great Wave Engineering's website and bought it. I couldn't believe the price difference. I had to pay shipping but it was still a lot cheaper. Instead of $21 per pound, it's $15 per kg. One kg = 2.2 pounds, so about 6.50 per pound. I ordered 2 kg, 4.4 lbs and paid $31 plus $12 shipping. Only $43. £4 would cost $80 via Revain. So if you want to build your rig like Pond Guru, you better go to Great Wave Engineering's website.
