I bought it 3 months ago, I managed to travel around several countries, using the lens as a standard lens for 5d, I am completely satisfied with the purchase. The new Sigma art line is really impressive, the lens is similar in appearance and quality to a Zeiss, this model does not have any problems with back or front focus, like the old Sigmas. I had experience using canon 16-35 2.8, 50 1.4, compared to these lenses, it focuses more accurately in the dark and subjectively the picture comes out sharper, the only drawback is the heavy weight compared to canon 50 1.4, when shooting outdoors during the day, the hand gets tired. Aperture 1.4 allows you to blur everything into milk, very nice bokeh, which you canβt get if you shoot at zoom. I chose between this lens and canon 35 mm 1.4, there are a sufficient number of test shots on the network, sigma is sharper at an open aperture and it has nicer bokeh, plus a nice bonus is the cost of 2/3 of the cost of canon. The only thing that bothered me at the beginning of operation was the plastic mount for the filters, but later I stopped paying attention to it, because I donβt plan to drop the lens with the lens down from a great height (filters also donβt stick to plastic and can be easily removed if necessary)
